- What type of story is this?
A Maori myth.
- Who was it written for?
Anybody who wants to hear about the maori myth?
- Choose one story and explain how you would do it on stage.
I would have people play main roles, (the demigods / gods), and everybody else moving around the scene, helping with making the scene look more realistic, making them wear clothes covered incgrass, and have them lie around e.t.c.
- What is the main idea?
This is a story of Matariki that takes us right back to the separation of Ranginui and Papatūānuku. Following the separation, Tāwhirimātea, the god of the winds, became so upset and angry that he tore his eyes out and threw them up into the sky to Ranginui as a sign of his love and pain. Some say that this is how Matariki came to be; Ngā mata o te ariki, o Tāwhirimātea; The eyes of the god Tāwhirimātea.
- What did you like about the story?
The presentation.
