Fins on Formula 1 cars

1. Aim: To find out which fin creates the least amount of drag.

2. Hypothesis: The helicopter with the longest fins will create the most drag.

3. Method:

Equipment:

Scissors
Helicopter copies
Paperclips
  1. In pairs you will cut out the 4 different helicopters.
  2. One member of your group holds the helicopter at a 2Metre height and releses it.
  3. On the count of three, the helicopter is released and the person dropping the helicopter releases it.
  4. Record your results in the graph chart .
  5. Repeat each drop three times
