In Social Studies we are practicing writing 'lawyer paragraphs.' This is my lawer paragraph that talks about why Hussain Khan used indentured labour.
Hussain Khan used indentured labour to save on the cost of paying workers’ wages. Child slaves are easier to maintain than adult slaves. First, children require less nutrition, so they need less food and water, which cost less. Second, children aren’t as strong as adults, so they are less likely to fight back against adults. Third, children are easier to manipulate than adults, because they know less about themselves and the world. Last, Hussain does not have to pay for children obtained through indentured labour. Hussain Khan used indentured child labour because he didn’t have to pay for them, and they cost less effort and money to maintain.
